Tubos Vent Pipe Extensions Expands Distribution Network

November 30, 2024

Tubos, Inc. has expanded its distribution network for its full line of 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-inch diameter vent stack extensions with new online options through RoofingDirect.com and through Amazon.

“We are excited about these new distribution options,” said Kevin Morris, vice president of Tubos. “Both online options will help us to expand our customer base and having Tubos on Amazon will also enable more remote customers to receive products faster than having to go to a distant distributor location.”

Tubos solve an important roofing issue in the market. When insulation is added on a re-roofing project to meet R-value requirements, vent stack heights, which are required by building and plumbing codes to be at a specific height above the surface of the roof, are effectively shortened, and frequently fall out of code compliance.

Pre-engineered Tubos pipe extensions are the ideal option for solving this issue and can be installed in just a few simple steps that take less than five minutes. Not only are they available in the four most popular vent stack sizes, but they are also fully compatible with both cast iron and PVC vent stacks. Furthermore, patented Tubos units feature a six-inch internal splice sleeve that fits into the existing vent stack and prevents water and moisture from leaking into the roofing assembly. Each 28-inch-long Tubos unit can be cut and used to extend two pipes, and extensions can be up to 16-inches long, so they are ideal for use where a tapered system is added, or a new lightweight insulating concrete deck is being poured.

Established in 2009, Tubos has a long track record with zero warranty claims or issues and has been specified for many school districts, colleges, medical facilities, as well as the US Postal Service.
